Reinforced Cement Pipes as Hume Pipes or spun pipes

The spun concrete pipe is made by a process in which centrifugal force is used to spread a wet concrete mixture over the inner surface of a horizontal mould. Concrete is fed into the slowly revolving mould which is spun, squeezing out surplus water and evenly spreading compacted concrete over the inner surface. The pipes are extremely dense. They have the ability to withstand great pressure and are non-porus.

The RCC pipes are cast by compacting concrete together with the embedded steel reinforcement in moulds with centrifugal force by revolving the moulds using a motor or an engine. The specification for the concrete and steel are adopted according to the Indian Standard specification IS 458: 2003. The quality of the product is assured and the rates are maintained competitive.
